Four teenagers arrested following death of 17-year-old in Paphos


 

Police have arrested four 17-year-olds in connection with the death of a teenager who lost consciousness and died on Sunday night in Paphos.

According to available information, an ambulance was arrived around 6:40 pm to a school building in Paphos after receiving a report that a young person had collapsed. The 17-year-old, a resident of the Paphos district, was found unconscious by paramedics and was rushed to Paphos General Hospital. Despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at approximately 8:30 pm.

Police officers who arrived at the scene found four 17-year-olds present. During their investigation, two cigarette lighter gas canisters were discovered on the roof of the building and were seized as evidence. Authorities are investigating whether the gas canisters were used in connection with the incident.

The four teenagers were arrested under court-issued warrants to assist in the ongoing investigation. The Paphos Police Department continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the case.
