General Assembly holds first session in new parliament building


 

The General Assembly convened for the first time in its newly constructed Parliament building, with the session held under the chairmanship of Speaker Ziya Öztürkler. Ahead of the session, an official opening cocktail was hosted to mark the inauguration of the new facility.

A Modern Legislative Complex

Completed after approximately three years of construction, the new Parliament building spans a total area of 20,010 square meters. It features a range of modern facilities designed to support the legislative process and improve administrative efficiency.

The complex includes:

• A General Assembly Hall with a seating capacity of 157

• Dedicated offices for 52 Members of Parliament

• A ministers’ meeting hall

• A conference hall accommodating 135 people

• A dining hall with a capacity for 252 guests

• Sixteen meeting rooms

• A fully equipped library
