Greek Cypriot man jailed in North for sexual assault


 

The verdict, for the court case against Greek Cypriot P.S. who sexually assaulted a 20 year old male, after offering a him a lift, has been heard.

The Lefkoşa District Court, ruled by Judge Jale Ergüden, summoned the suspect to 4 months in jail.

The incident took place on February 19, 2024, at around 11.20 am on the Lefkoşa (Nicosia) Yakın Doğu Boulevard. The suspect who was driving KGB 731 registered vehicle, offered a lift to the 20-year-old, and carried out an indecent sexual act towards him. Meanwhile, the suspect was detected at the Ledra checkpoint on February 29, and taken into custody for questioning. The court case ruled a four month prison sentence.
