Heat wave to persist across the country


 

The hot weather currently gripping the country is expected to continue in the coming days, with temperatures forecast to remain high throughout the week.

According to the Meteorology Department’s report covering June 10–16, 2025, inland areas are expected to see daytime temperatures between 35°C and 38°C, while coastal regions will experience slightly cooler
conditions ranging from 29°C to 32°C.

The weather is predicted to remain partly to mostly clear through the weekend, with some early morning fog expected in certain areas.

Winds will generally blow from the south and west at moderate strength.
