High temperatures expected in Cyprus until mid-August


 

The Cyprus Department of Meteorology and the Climate Watch of the German Meteorological Service (DWD) have announced that higher-than-normal temperatures and heatwave episodes are expected through the rest of July and nearly until mid-August.

According to the announcement, “heatwave episodes are expected, with temperatures frequently exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.”

The highest temperatures typically occur between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The public is advised to check the Department of Meteorology’s advisories and warnings daily.
