Ahmet Tokatlıoğlu, a member of the Central Executive Committee of the People’s Party (HP), who was recently arrested on charges of “preparing forged documents,” has been released pending trial.
During the investigation, police determined that the signatures on the contested powers of attorney belonged to Tokatlıoğlu’s father, clarifying a key aspect of the case.
Following the court hearing, Tokatlıoğlu was released under specific conditions: a travel ban, a 500,000 TL surety bond signed by a TRNC citizen, and a 20,000 TL cash deposit. He will be tried without detention.
