Pakistan origin Z.A, who was detected as an illegal immigrant in North Cyprus, has been taken to court. Police Officer Kadir Çetin read a statement at the Lefkoşa (Nicosia) court.
The police said that the suspect was detected on Hüseyin Kaymak Street on July 3, 2024, at around 2:40 pm, by police officers from the Crime Prevention Branch of the Lefkoşa (Nicosia) Police Department.
It was detected that the suspect was illegally in North Cyprus for 555 days as of December 25, 2022.
The police officer stated that the investigation was completed and called for the suspect be sent to prison.
Evaluating the testimony, Judge Zehra Jale Ergüden ordered the suspect to be sent to prison for a period not exceeding one month.
