Industrial turnover in Cyprus up 1.3% in September


 

Cyprus’ industrial turnover rose by 1.3% in September 2024 compared to the same month last year, while an overall increase of 2.2% was recorded for the period January–September 2024, compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus in September 2024, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 143.5 points (base year 2021=100). The manufacturing sector saw significant growth, with the index climbing to 131.2 points, marking a 5.1% year-on-year increase.

Mining and Quarrying experienced the highest growth, recording a 13.8% increase in September 2024 compared to the previous year.

Electricity Supply and Water Supply and Material Recovery, however, declined by 9.5% and 1.2%, respectively.
