Kataklysmos Fair 2024 Larnaca – The full programme and events


 

The program of the events of the Kataklysmos Fair 2024 , in the Municipality of Larnaca, has been published.

For six consecutive days, visitors will have the opportunity to attend a rich artistic program with competitions of Cypriot poetry, love songs, chit players, flute, ball and Cypriot dances. At the same time, the celebrants will be ready to welcome the visitors.

The start of the Kataklysmos Fair 2024 will be on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. with the opening Parade in which take part Cultural Clubs, Dance Ensembles, the Larnaca Nautical Club, the 30th Famagusta Scout System, Cypriot Guide Corps, accompanied by the Larnaca Municipality Philharmonic, and the Perivlian Philharmonic. This will be followed by greetings from the Mayor of Larnaca Mr. Andreas Vyra and the honorary guest Minister of the Interior Mr. Konstantinos Ioannou.

With the simultaneous operation of 2 platforms, both the Central Platform in front of Kimonos Square and the Platform in Europe Square, visitors will have the opportunity to watch a varied artistic program. Folk poets, dancers and singers will compete, while satire, skits and children’s programs will have their due. Certainly, well-known artists from Cyprus and Greece could not be missing from this great celebration.

At the same time, in the Garden Theater of the Medieval Castle of Larnaca, the Shadow Theater Festival – Karagiozi will take place, as usual, on June 21, 22, 24 and 25.

In Europe Square, in specially designed stands, as every year, traditional Cypriot trades will be presented with artisans explaining their manufacturing process.
