Limassol expands new traffic cameras at key intersection


 

New fixed traffic cameras will be installed at a key intersection in Limassol, on Monday September 16, 2024.

Three new cameras will be operational at the intersection of Spyros Kyprianou and Agia Fylaxeos avenues, aiming to enhance road safety.

These cameras will monitor traffic violations such as running red lights, crossing the white line, and speeding. Fixed cameras are already in place at several other locations in Limassol, including:
– Archbishop Makarios III Avenue and Despina and Nikos Pattichis Avenue
– Franklin Roosevelt Avenue and Omonia Avenue
– Despina and Nikos Pattichis Avenue and Spyros Kyprianou Avenue
– 28th October Avenue and Iakovou Tombazi Avenue
– Vasileos Georgiou A’ Avenue and Christakis Kranou Avenue
– Archbishop Makarios III Avenue and Agia Zoni Avenue
– Archbishop Makarios III Avenue and 28th October Avenue
– Amathoustos Avenue opposite Hotel Arsinois
– Amathoustos Avenue and Ariadnis Street
– Port Road, Kato Polemidia

The initiative aims to reduce serious and fatal road accidents, promote better road awareness, and improve overall safety on Cyprus’s road network.
