Man fatally stabs wife in Paphos


 

Police are investigating a suspected femicide that took place in Tremithousa, Paphos, on Friday morning.
Preliminary reports indicate that a husband may have fatally stabbed his wife during an argument. The 41-year-old woman was found dead at an apartment complex when police arrived.
She was pronounced dead upon arrival at Paphos General Hospital. The husband, who is currently hospitalized under guard, is reported to be in a non-life-threatening condition.
The couple’s two children were not at home during the incident and are expected to be placed in state custody.
Authorities have secured the area and are gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to piece together the events leading up to the tragic incident.
