The country is expected to be under the influence of a cool and humid air mass over the weekend.
According to the weather predictions recorded from the Meteorology Department, the weather is expected to be mostly sunny tomorrow with increasing clouds followed by rainy weather at noon. Cloudy skies will continue on Sunday and Monday. The weather is expected to be hot and humid in the following days.
According to the report, temperatures will be around 38 – 41 degrees inland and 34 – 37 degrees on the coast.
Winds will be southerly and westerly moderate. Saturday is expected to be windy and stormy.
The Met office has suggested citizens stay indoors, or in cool places, during the day, and advised citizens to take necessary precautions as hot winds are expected.
