Metehan road closed over the weekend


 

Road works are taking place in the capital Lefkoşa this weekend and this means that some roads will be closed to traffic in the Metehan area.

A diversion has been placed for those wishing to use the Metehan crossing point and access to and from the crossing point will be possible through back roads connecting with Kemal Şemiler Street
also commonly known as “Galın yol”.

According to the announcement made by Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality, the Osman Örek avenue connecting Köşklüçiflik with the Metehan roundabout and the Namık Hikmet Avenue leading from the Civil Defence roundabout to Metehan will be closed to traffic on Saturday and Sunday due to water works as part of the Ortaköy Infrastructure Development Project.

The work will be carried out in stages and a diversion has been placed for those wishing to use the Metehan crossing point. Access to and from the crossing point will be possible through back roads connecting with Kemal Şemiler Avenue also commonly known as “Galın yol”.

Drivers are urged to follow all road signs carefully and asked to follow the traffic diversion directions that will be given during this time.
