Meteorology Department issues warning for strong winds in coastal areas


 

Cyprus’ Meteorology Department issued today a warning for strong and locally up to near gale winds in the coastal areas, starting in the afternoon, on Wednesday.

The warning notes that between 17.00 and midnight on Wednesday, “strong and locally up to near gale south westerly to north westerly winds, force 6 and locally up to 7 beaufort, are expected to affect the north, south and west coastal areas”.

The state of the sea will be moderate and will gradually become rough, it adds.
