The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which met in the morning for the determination of the second minimum wage of 2024, postponed its meeting again.

The commission, which met for the third time this morning, will meet again at 6 p.m.

Speaking to the press following the two hourlong meeting, Minister of Labour and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, said that the state, employee and employers’ representatives are suggesting different figures, and added that another meeting will be held in the day following evaluations.

Gardiyanoğlu noted that the government suggested a 22.98 % increased figure.

The employees’ representative, Head of HÜR-İŞ Ahmet Serdaroğlu rejected the 22.98 % increase noting that they request a welfare share of 1 %, therefore they suggest an increase of 24%
