The secretary of the Ministry of Interior Remziye Seven, who was arrested within the scope of the fake diploma investigation regarding the Health and Social Sciences University of Cyprus (KSTÜ), and who was brought to court in Güzelyurt (Morphou) last Friday, with an order of a 3-day detention, was taken to court in Lefkoşa (Nicosia). The judge ordered Seven to be detained for another 7 days.
According to the police, the suspect was registered to the Business Administration Undergraduate Department on May 8, 2023, pretending to be enrolled in school on October 10, 2019, and graduated from the undergraduate level on the same day, with 47 fake course notes given on June 19, 2023, pretending to study for 4 years.
SECRET DOCUMENTS FOUND IN SEVEN’S HOUSE
Confidential documents correspondence regarding citizenship details with wet signatures were also detected at the suspect’s house following a search conducted by the police, it has been reported. An investigation has been initiated. The officer requested another 7 days as the investigation continues.
During the court, the suspect’s lawyer argued that when the previous Minister of Interior was dismissed from his post, the suspect was also dismissed in one day, that she collected her belongings from her room in a hurry, and that the documents at home were mixed with her belongings.
The judge ordered the suspect to be detained for 7 more days
