The Archbishop of Cyprus, Georgios, said on Monday they are goal is to full clarify the case regarding the Monastery of Saint Habakkuk.
In his statements to journalists, about the stage of the investigations surrounding the scandal that broke out in the Monastery of Saint Habakkuk.
The Archbishop said that, “I don’t know when it will end, but I know that they are working continuously. So, my clear instructions, which are also instructions from the Holy Synod, are for this case to be fully clarified and for anything else related to either irregularities or something that is not going well in the Church of Cyprus”.
Regarding the testimonies of the monks, the Archbishop replied that, “I will not enter the trial process. When they are investigated, the conclusion will come and from this conclusion of the investigation, it will be sent to the six-member committee and from there the discussion will take place”
