A young man is in intensive care (ICU) in Gazimağusa (Famagusta) following a motorcycle accident that took place in Girne (Kyrenia) yesterday morning.
According to a police report, a 38-year-old driver of vehicle register number ZMT 183 who was trying to reverse into a main road on Üniversite Street, collided with motorcyclist Waqas UL ZAMAN (M-30), register number RG 749, who was travelling towards north on the same road at around 9 am yesterday.
Motorcyclist Waqas UL ZAMAN, who was injured following the accident, was taken to the Girne Dr. Akçiçek State Hospital for treatment and was then admitted to the intensive care unit of the Gazimağusa (Famagusta) State Hospital.
The driver of vehicle number plate ZMT 183 has been arrested and an investigation into the accident is continuing.
