Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades announced that new schemes aimed at promoting the use of electric vehicles (EVs) will be introduced soon, with the possibility of extending benefits to other types of vehicles as well.
Vafeades explained that the previous EV incentive program concluded under a tight deadline, as it was part of the broader Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Regarding the budget for the upcoming initiative, the minister stated that it falls within the scope of the existing national plan. He also confirmed that input has been requested from the Importers Association to better align the scheme with market needs.
