New pharmacy working hours announced


 

The Ministry of Health has published new working hours and duty schedules for pharmacies across North Cyprus, which will be effective from September 16, 2024, to September 21, 2025.

The announcement, which appeared in yesterday’s Official Gazette, outlines changes for pharmacies in Lefkoşa (Nicosia), Gazimağusq (Famagusta), Girne (Kyrenia), Güzelyurt (Morphou), Lefke (Lefka), İskele (Trikomo).

Regular working hours from September 16, 2024 to May 11, 2025 will be

– Weekdays: 08:00 – 17:30
– Saturdays: 08:00 – 13:30

From May 12, 2025 – September 21, 2025

– Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 08:00 – 17:30
– Thursday and Saturday: 08:00 – 13:30

Night Pharmacies

Night pharmacies will operate during off-hours to ensure continuous access to medication:

– Weekdays: From closing time until 08:00 the next day
– Weekends: From 13:30 on Saturday to 08:00 on Monday

Throughout the entire period (September 16, 2024 – September 21, 2025), night pharmacies will be open from 08:00 to 00:00.

Lefke (Lefka)

From September 16, 2024, until May 11, 2025

– Weekdays: 08:00 to 17:30
– Saturdays: 08:00 to 13:30

During this period, pharmacies on duty will remain open from 08:00 to 22:00 and will follow an on-call system between 22:00 and 00:00.

From May 12, 2025, to September 21, 2025, pharmacy hours will change.

– Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 08:00 to 17:30,
– Thursday, Saturday: 08:00 to 13:30

Pharmacies on duty will continue to operate from 08:00 to 22:00, with the on-call system in place from 22:00 to 00:00.

Iskele (Trikomo)

Pharmacies in İskele (Trikomo) will follow a similar schedule from September 16, 2024, to May 11, 2025

– Weekdays: 08:00 to 17:30
– Saturdays: 08:00 to 13:30

Pharmacies on duty will be open from 08:00 to 22:00 during this period.

From May 12, 2025, to September 21, 2025, regional pharmacies will open from 08:00 to 17:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from 08:00 to 13:30 on Thursdays and Saturdays, with duty hours running from 08:00 to 22:00.
