The Social Insurance Department announced that a new practice on public and private doctor prescriptions will begin on January 1, 2024.
Prescriptions of public and private doctors have been adjusted to pave the way to make it easier for those registered under the social insurance system to access their requirements.
As of January 1, prescriptions written in public hospitals will be available directly from contracted pharmacies at a discount.
In addition, for insured people and those with chronic diseases, prescriptions valid for up to six months can be written by both public hospitals and private doctors.
