The North Cyprus Foreign Ministry announced that they expect Israel to avoid steps that support policies that would have negative effects on peace and tranquillity in Cyprus and that would lead to a pursuit of armament.
The ministry issued a written statement on news of the visit to Cyprus by the Israeli Defence Minister. The ministry said that it expects Israel to evaluate the Turkish Cypriot side’s two-state solution proposal openly in Cyprus.
“The TRNC will be pleased to establish good relations with Israel”, the statement said.
