One person was arrested yesterday at around 11 am for attempting to smuggle drugs while entering North Cyprus through the Girne port.
Following a search conducted by the Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling team, the 45-year-old was detected attempted with a substance believed to be cannabis weighing around 1 gram. The drugs were confiscated by police and the individual was arrested. An investigation into the incident continues.
