Overnight works on Nicosia-Limassol highway until next week

A section of the Nicosia-Limassol highway will be closed for overnight works starting tonight, Monday, until the morning of next Friday. The Police are advising drivers to exercise special caution when passing through the area.

During the construction, part of the highway in the direction of Limassol will be closed, and traffic will be diverted through one lane in the direction of Nicosia.

According to the Department of Public Works, the works will take place from Zygi to Muttayaka from Monday, July 1, to Thursday, July 4, between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am the following day.

Both lanes of the highway from Nicosia to Limassol will be partially closed over a stretch of approximately three kilometres. Traffic will be redirected to the opposite direction, which will function as a two-way road. These works are being conducted for local road surface repairs.

Police recommend that drivers passing through the area drive at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front, and comply with the temporary road markings in the work zone.
