Parliament holds closed session on regional tensions

The Parliament Assembly convened in an extraordinary closed session today, with the participation Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar.

Tatar ‘s briefing members of the General Assembly on two key issues: the escalating regional tensions triggered by the Israel-Iran conflict, and the increasingly negative political stance adopted by the Greek Cypriot leadership following the informal Geneva talks.

The session is being held behind closed doors to allow for a comprehensive and secure exchange of views on these critical developments, which are said to have far-reaching implications for the security and diplomatic positioning of the Northern Cyprus.

Tatar is expected to give a press briefing after the session has been completed.
