Peace initiative met with Greek Cypriot negotiator


 

A delegation of the Bicommunal Peace Initiative – United Cyprus, had a meeting with Mr. Menelaos Menelaou, the Greek Cypriot Negotiator.

According to a press statement from the initiative, during the meeting Mr. Menelaou informed the delegation about the ongoing efforts and prospects for the resumption of talks, within the framework of the United Nations resolutions, as well as about the efforts to implement the Confidence Building Measures agreed between the two Leaders, at their last meeting.

The Bicommunal Initiative delegation expressed its support for efforts to break the deadlock and implement Confidence Building Measures, particularly emphasizing the urgent need to open crossing points, as an important measure to facilitate and improve the daily lives of citizens in both communities.
