Pharmacies in Cyprus to reduce operating hours

Pharmacies in Cyprus will no longer operate during non-working hours and bank holidays, effective immediately, according to the Pancyprian Pharmaceutical Association.

The association announced that pharmacists have chosen to withdraw from the day and night shift program in protest their current working hours.

This decision comes in response to a decree issued by the Minister of Health regarding pharmacy operating hours. The association’s president, Ploutarchos Georgiadis, stated that the ongoing legal disputes over operating hours and the failure of some pharmacies to adhere to the regulations have violated pharmacists’ rights.

The association has notified the Director of Pharmaceutical Services about their decision.
