Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has departed for Ankara accompanied by coalition partners for a series of high-level meetings focused on economic cooperation and project planning.
The visit aims to finalize discussions on the 2025 Economic and Financial Cooperation Agreement, which was recently ratified by the parliament. The agreement is expected to shape the next phase of development initiatives in the country.
Speaking ahead of his departure, Üstel stated: “It will be a productive and intensive visit. We will take the first steps toward new projects that will directly impact the lives of the Turkish Cypriot people.”
In Ankara, Üstel will hold both bilateral and inter-delegation meetings with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz. Discussions will focus not only on the upcoming agreement but also on the inauguration of previously approved projects and the planning of new ones aimed at strengthening the North Cyprus’s infrastructure and economy.
