It has been reported that the police seized 75 kg of undeclared meat at the Metehan (Agios Dometios) checkpoint, yesterday.
27-year-old Ş.U. attempting to illegally smuggle 75 kilograms of lamb meat in his vehicle from south to north of Cyprus via the Metehan (Agios Dometios) checkpoint yesterday at around 12 pm, was detected by the customs and tax officers.
A legal action has been launched against the individual and an investigation is underway.
