Primary and secondary schools reopen on Monday

The 2024-2025 academic year will officially begin on Monday for public primary, secondary, and high schools under the Ministry of National Education. The start date was delayed by a week following a decision by the Council of Ministers due to incomplete teacher appointments.

Approximately 28,000 students will attend 128 public and private primary schools, while around 30,000 students are expected to study in 48 secondary and high schools.

The first term will end with report card distribution on Friday, January 31, followed by a semester break from February 1-16. The second term will begin on Monday, February 17, with final report cards and completion certificates to be distributed on Monday, June 16.
