Rain expected over the weekend, temperatures to drop

Scattered showers or thunderstorms are forecast for the upcoming weekend, accompanied by a drop in temperatures, according to the Meteorological Department.

From September 21-27, the region will first experience a low-pressure system with cool and humid air, followed by warmer, more humid conditions later in the week.

The weather will be partly cloudy on Saturday and Sunday, with occasional showers or thunderstorms, and continued rain on Monday. From Tuesday onward, skies are expected to clear, with slightly cloudy weather.

Temperatures will drop by 4 degrees during the rainy days, with inland and coastal areas seeing highs of 28-31°C in the first half of the period. By midweek, inland areas will warm up to 32-35°C, while coastal temperatures will stay between 28-31°C.

Winds will be moderate, but strong during rainy periods.
