Sales of security cameras have increased in North Cyprus!


 

People living in the northern part of Cyprus do not feel safe it has been reported. The escalating number of crime incidents in the country has led to the need for increased security cameras.
The growing concern of the public on security issues has led to a 30% increase in security camera sales.
According to Yenidüzen, security concerns are increasing and citizens are calling for “more strict control of entrance and exit to the country”.
Speaking to the paper, Hüsnü Aksular said, “As a state, you should take precautions against such incidents in this country.”
Hasan Hacıyusufoğlu, on the other hand, stated that “Entry and exits to the country should be controlled”.
Pharmacists who do night shifts alone also expressed their discomfort whilst on duty due to the increasing crime incidents in North Cyprus.
Türkan Şentip, who has a pharmacy in Göneyli Yenikent, said, “As a precautionary measure against any kind of situation, we sit as a whole crowd at my pharmacy during night shifts.”
SmartTec Security Systems Director Sıtkı Karalım said that there has been a 20-30% increase in security camera sales compared to previous years.
Karalim said, “Previously, having a camera installed was a luxury, now it’s a necessity.”
