A serious traffic accident occurred early this afternoon when a school bus carrying students overturned near Yenierenköy ( Yialousa) High School, leaving 21 people injured, including the driver and 20 students.
According to a police statement, the accident happened around 13:00 on the Yenierenköy-Dipkarpaz route, specifically on a side road east of the school. The bus veered off the road and overturned under circumstances that are still under investigation.
Emergency services quickly responded to the scene, and the injured were transported to Gazimağusa State Hospital. Medical officials report that treatment is ongoing, and several of the injured are being referred to local health centers for further care.
