Samples taken from the sea water at 83 beaches revealed that out of 59 samples 4 are good and 55 are excellent. The remaining results will be announced in the days ahead.
According to the Ministry of Environment, the analysis results are classed as “excellent” or “good” quality. Beaches that do not exceed the limits, will be tested again due to high results. The beaches are; Camelot Beach, Oscar Hotel Beach, Les Ambassadeurs Hotel Beach, Rocks Hotel Beach, and Lords Palace Hotel Beach.
Within the framework of the ‘Cooperation Protocol for Monitoring, Sampling, and Analyzing Seawater Quality Across North Cyprus’ signed between the Deputy Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, and the Ministry of Health on June 27, seawater samples were taken from 83 beaches across North Cyprus in July.
The Ministry said that samples were taken by the Environmental Protection Agency in line with the protocol and were analyzed at the State Laboratory.
While the analysis report of 59 beaches has been completed and announced, it was noted that the results of the other beaches will be published in the coming days.
