Search efforts resumed today to locate a 35-year-old tourist who has been missing since Tuesday, following unsuccessful attempts over the past two days and throughout last night.
According to the Police, the missing man, a 35-year-old Polish national, arrived in Cyprus on April 14 for a vacation. On Tuesday, he rented an inflatable boat to explore the sea area near Chrysochous Bay in Paphos.
At approximately 4:30 pm that afternoon, the inflatable vessel was spotted adrift and unmanned in the sea area off Argaka, roughly 200 meters from the shore.
Concerned citizens alerted authorities, triggering a coordinated search operation by the Search and Rescue Coordination Center.
Despite extensive efforts, no trace of the tourist has been found so far. Yesterday’s search spanned both land and sea, stretching from Cape Arnaoutis to Pomos.
The operation continued today, involving a broad array of resources: a National Guard helicopter and drone, a police helicopter, foot patrol units, Port and Maritime Police vessels, unmanned aerial vehicles, and volunteers from the Civil Defense.
