Police have issued an announcement that some roads will be temporarily closed to traffic due to the public bike tour that will be taking place in Nicosia by the Turkish Cypriot Cycling Federation.
The police statement stated that the tour will begin at 7 p.m. today in front of the Kyrenia Gate in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) and will finish the tour at Kyrenia Gate again.
The route for Cyclists to follow will be Mehmet Akif Street (Dereboyu)-Bedrettin Demirel Street – Atatürk Street – the Terminal Roundabout and the Gazeteci Kemal Aşık Street.
Cyclists will be escorted by police and intersections and roundabouts on this route will be temporarily closed to traffic.
Drivers have been advised to drive slowly and be cautious for safety reasons and follow traffic signs accordingly.
