St. George church in Flamoudi conservation complete


 

Conservation work carried out by the Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage has been completed at the Church of Saint George in Flamoudi ( Mersinlik) village in Karpasia, it was announced on Thursday.

The works were co-financed by the European Union and implemented under the supervision of UNDP. The architectural design was carried out by Ozge Ozbekoglu and Christos Shiamaris.

In remarks, co-chairman of the Committee, Sotos Ktoris said “the Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage works with the aim of reconciling the past with the future, investing in the vision of a Cyprus that honours its roots while simultaneously building bridges of peace and reconciliation for future generations.”
