Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar set to engage in discussions with political parties on Friday to exchange views ahead of an expanded informal meeting in Geneva.
According to a statement from the Presidency, Tatar will meet with political parties to provide updates and gather opinions regarding the Geneva talks.
The meetings will commence at 11:30 am with parties represented in Parliament, followed by consultations with the Social Democratic Party (TDP) and the People’s Party (HP).
Following these discussions, Tatar is scheduled to hold a press conference at the Presidential Palace at 2:00 pm to brief the public on the outcomes of the meetings.
Meanwhile, Tatar’s Special Representative, Güneş Onar, held a phone call with UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo.
The conversation focused on preparations for the expanded informal meeting in Geneva, with both sides engaging in a candid and constructive exchange of views regarding the content and progress of the summit.
