Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu emphasized that the acceptance of political equality alone is not enough for a solution on the island. It is inevitable to have the sovereign equality of the TRNC, not the communities, reaffirmed, he said. The goal for negotiations to be carried out for a federal solution is in the past, he said.
