The conflict of “Uncredentialeds” is moving to the European Parliament


 

The Association of Uncredentialeds, which struggles for the citizenship rights of the children of Turkish Cypriots in the Republic of Cyprus, is going to Brussels with the invitation of European Parliament member Niyazi Kızılyürek.
According to a press release from the association, the courtesy visit will include representatives of various organizations from both the southern and northern part of Cyprus. Tahsin Oygar will be the representative of the Association of Uncredentialeds during visit.
During the courtesy visit, a meeting will be held with the members of AKEL at the European Parliament and a panel titled “Turkish Cypriots and the EU – Perspectives on the Reunification of Cyprus” will be held.
At the meetings with parliamentarians from various EU countries, Tahsin Oygar will revive the human rights violations experienced by the “Uncredentialeds” and ask for support in their struggle.
In addition to this, he will also follow up the petition which is submitted to the Petitions Committee with 675 signatures and transferred to the European Commission to initiate an investigation.
