The Gönyeli (Kioneli) lake has dried up causing fish and turtles to die.
A group of friends, who visited the lake over the weekend took photographs of the completely dried up lake. Heart breaking images of dead fish and turtles that emerged as the water receded were taken.

A warning was issued by biologists who went to the Gönyeli lake last month.
The late arrival of rain, evaporation and climate change were the cause of the lake drying up.
