Thunderstorms and winds expected

The Meteorological Department has issued its weather forecast for Wednesday, September 4, indicating that Cyprus will continue to be influenced by a low pressure system and cool, humid air in the upper atmosphere.

Temperatures are expected to remain close to seasonal norms across the region.

Throughout the day, residents and visitors can expect partly cloudy skies, with cloud cover increasing towards noon. There is a likelihood of occasional showers or thunderstorms, particularly during the latter part of the day.

Wind conditions are forecasted to be moderate, predominantly blowing from the south and west directions. However, during periods of rain, the wind may strengthen considerably.

The highest temperature for the day are anticipated to range between 29 and 35 degrees Celsius in both inland areas and coastal regions.

The capital city, Nicosia, is expected to see temperatures around 33 degrees Celsius.
