Tourism Festival 2024 ready to kick off

‘Tourism Festival‘ is ready to kick off in Kyrenia as a part of Tourism Week on Saturday.

The festival will take place at Kyrenia Ancient Harbor.

It is sponsored by theDeputy Prime Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, andEnvironment, with contributions from Kyrenia Municipality.

Various cultural and artistic events such as music, theatre, and folk dances will continue throughout the day, starting at 10:30 a.m.

The festival, where food and beverage stalls will also be available, concludes with a concert by Fikri Karayel at 9:30 p.m.

As the first major event following the restoration of Kyrenia Ancient Harbor, the’Tourism Festival’ will feature free refreshments, free tours of Kyrenia Ancient Harbor and Castle, as well as activities such as cartoon drawing, exhibitions, and cello performances.

The festival schedule, announced by the Deputy Prime Ministry and Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports, is as follows:

10:30 a.m.: Gathering of the procession at the Social Life andLifelong Learning Center (former Kyrenia Municipality building).

11:00 a.m.: Procession starts from the Social Life and Lifelong Learning Center (former Kyrenia Municipality building), passing through Ziya Rızkı Street and in front of Rocks Hotel, and reaching the event area at Kyrenia Ancient Harbor.
12:15 p.m.: Official speeches.
12:45 p.m.: Group Otantik concert (Stage 1).
1:30 p.m.: Vadili Folk Dance show(Stage 2).
2:00 p.m.: Ahmet Ced concert (Stage 1).
2:00 p.m.:State Theaters Theater show (Stage 3).
2:45 p.m.: Akdoğan Folk Dance show (Stage 2).
3:30 p.m.: Ulaş Barış Concert (Stage 1).
3:30 p.m.: State Theaters Theater show (Stage 3).
4:15 p.m.: TUFAD Folk Dance show (Stage 2).
4:30 p.m.: DJ performance (Stage 1). 5:15 p.m.: Değirmenlik MunicipalityFolk Dance show (Stage 2).
