The Tourism Ministry has reported that there has been no progress in garbage cleaning on beaches, although they are being cleaned twice a day.
A statement by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment said that cleaning works will continue in summer for clean and healthy beaches.
According to the statement, 5 teams consisting of nature-conscious youths are working really hard cleaning the beaches in Gazimağusa (Famagusta), İskele (Trikomo), Yeniboğaziçi (Agios Sergios), and Tatlısu (Akanthou), yet our beaches still look polluted.
