A traffic accident occurred on the Lefkoşa (Nicosia) – Güzelyurt (Morphou) main road near Akçay village today, at around 9 AM.
21-year-old Fatmagül Ekiz, driving a saloon vehicle with the license plate RJ 631, lost control of the car and veered off the road. The vehicle struck an embankment and overturned.
Both drivers, Fatmagül Ekiz, and the passenger, Nigina Imomova, 30, sustained injuries. They were transported to Lefkoşa (Nicosia) Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
