Tragic house fire in Limassol claims lives of family of five


 

A devastating fire in Limassol claimed the lives of a family of five in the early hours of Saturday.
According to police reports, the fire broke out shortly after 4:00 am on the second floor of a residential building.

Police and Fire Brigade, rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames. Tragically, they discovered the lifeless bodies of a 35-year-old father, a 33-year-old mother, and their three young children, aged 7, 3, and 2.

Relatives living on other floors of the building noticed the fire and attempted to rescue the family but were unable to reach them in time.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated in collaboration with the Police and the Electromechanical Service.
