The treatment of three students and the bus driver injured in Wednesday’s school bus accident in Yenierenköy ( Yialousa) is ongoing, officials confirmed.
According to Ministry of Education Undersecretary Aytunç Şirket, 25 of the 28 students injured in the accident have been discharged, while three remain under medical care at Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.
Şirket also stated that the bus driver is being treated at Gazimağusa State Hospital. He assured the public that none of the injured are in critical condition and their health remains stable and under control.
The accident occurred on the Yenierenköy-Dipkarpaz route when a school bus carrying 28 students overturned. A total of 29 people, including the driver, sustained injuries in the incident. An investigation into the cause of the accident is still underway.
