Turkish citizens in North Cyprus to cast ballot in runoff elections in Türkiye

Turkish citizens living in North Cyprus will head back to the polls on May 20-24 for the runoff presidential elections in Türkiye.

Türkiye will have a runoff election on May 28, after neither the incumbent Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan nor the main opposition alliance candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu secured an outright victory in Sunday’s election.

Some 140,111 registered Turkish voters living in North Cyprus will cast their votes at three polling stations in Lefkoşa and Gazimağusa ( Famagusta) for four days and in Güzelyurt ( Morphou) for two days. Voters can vote in any of the three polling stations.
The voting process will take place at Lefkoşa’s Atatürk Sports Stadium, Gazimağusa’s Lala Mustafa Paşa Sports Palace on 20-24 May and at Güzelyurt’s Dr. Fazıl Küçük Sports Stadium on 20-21 May.
Voters can cast their votes between 8 am and 10 pm both on weekdays and weekend.
There will be no change in the places of two candidates on the ballot papers.
The campaign for the runoff of the Turkish presidential elections opened yesterday.
