Teachers from the Cyprus Turkish Teachers’ Union (KTÖS) and the Cyprus Greek Primary School Teachers’ Union (POED) will come together for a friendly football match on Friday at 6:30 pm at the Üner Berkalp Stadium in Güzelyurt ( Morphou).
In a written statement, KTÖS Social and Cultural Affairs Secretary Onur Bütüner said the event aims to support ongoing efforts to promote peace, mutual understanding, and bi-communal cooperation in Cyprus. He noted that the unions hope to deliver a meaningful message to society through the participation of teachers.
“Peace is possible, coexistence is possible, and solidarity is essential for a shared future,” Bütüner said.
