Turkish Cypriots are pessimistic and unhappy!


 

A survey of the Center for Immigration Identity and Rights Studies (CMIRS), revealed that 82.5 percent of participants believe that the country is not being governed properly.

The June 2024 report of the survey, carried out every 3 months, which measures the political trust, social trust, individual self-confidence and happiness perception of Turkish Cypriots, has been announced.

The results of the face-to-face study with 500 participants was held in three parts.

CMIRS Director Mine Yücel said that, according to the June 2024 survey results, participants were pessimistic and unhappy.

50 percent of the people living in the country at present do not believe that the country is livable, this is thought-provoking, Yücel said. While the population and economic structure of the country is not sustainable, the lack of trust in politicians is causing serious despair among the society.

82.5 percent of participants: The country is not being governed properly.

82.5 percent of those surveyed do not believe that the country is being governed properly. This rate was 83.3 percent in the March 2024 survey. The rate of those who believe in the system in the country remains at 17.47 percent.
